The Thousand Oaks Shooting

Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand
Oaks, California, late Wednesday night. Eyewitnesses say the man fired at
people in a packed bar during college night.
- The victims: Twelve people were killed,
including a Ventura County sheriff's deputy, a college student
and at least a dozen people were injured.
- The
shooter: The gunman, identified as 28-year-old former Marine Ian David
Long, was a Marine veteran who often visited the site of the shooting.

extended his sympathies on Twitter to the victims and their
families, and he praised the "great bravery" shown by law
enforcement.
